GameGain – Windows Utility to Increase Gaming Performance
One of the main reasons why people choose a PC and not a Mac, apart from the price gap, is the fact that there are more games for PCs out there than there are games for Macs. I remember my first computer – I didn’t care how much RAM or what processor it had, I only cared about getting the darn thing set up so I could play some games (I was pretty young at the time).
When a game doesn’t run properly, it is enough to drive you up the walls and make you want to throw your PC out the window. But before you do that, take a look at the PGWARE-developed application GameGain. This is a video game optimizing application that has the following to offer:
- The application will optimize your computer performance and make your games run faster. It makes changes to the registry and system files to enhance memory, screen drawing, animations, refresh rates, and CPU thread speeds.
- Frame per second settings are automatically adjusted
- Finds and repairs problems that affect the computer’s performance
- A nice looking, easy to figure out interface
Before you go get GameGain and put it to the test, take a look at the technical details presented below:
Download – the download weighs in at 1.4MB, which is good news. It means that even if you have to contend with a less than spectacular internet connection, it will only take a moment to get GameGain off the web and onto your computer.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, GameGain provides support for Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions).
Limitations – the application is free to try, which means you can use it free of charge for a trial period of 30 days.
